Common ones include stress, an overactive \"wake system\" in the brain, low mood or anxiety, pain, the menopause, sleep apnoea, some medicines, and caffeine or alcohol. Our assessment looks for these so we can treat the cause, not just the symptom.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eOur approach\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe assess your sleep, then give you a personal sleep plan based on CBT for insomnia (CBT-I), the first-line treatment recommended by NICE.
