Rosacea

Rosacea is a chronic skin condition causing facial redness, visible blood vessels, and sometimes acne-like bumps. Sufferers may also experience a burning or stinging sensation when applying water or skincare products. Other symptoms include dry skin, swelling around the cheeks and eyes, sore eyelids or crusts around roots of eyelashes and thickened skin, mainly on the nose, which usually appears after many years. It is commonly found in women and triggers include hot foods, alcohol, and sun exposure. Topical and oral medications, laser therapy, and avoiding known triggers is known to manage symptoms effectively.
