How subscriptions work

A subscription is a simple way to keep your treatment coming without having to place a new order each time. You choose it at checkout instead of a one-off purchase, and you pay less on every refill. Everything else about your care stays exactly the same — your treatment is still prescription-only, and a clinician still reviews every refill before it is dispensed.

A subscription does not change your clinical care

Subscribing is a payment and supply arrangement, not a clinical decision. It does not commit a prescriber to issuing a prescription, and it does not guarantee supply. Every refill is reviewed individually by a clinician, and your prescriber can pause, change or stop your treatment at any point if it is no longer clinically appropriate. If that happens, you will not be charged for a refill that is not dispensed.

How to start a subscription

  1. Complete your consultation as normal, or sign in if you are an existing patient.
  2. Choose your treatment, then select Subscribe rather than One-time.
  3. Choose how long you would like your subscription to run for.
  4. Check out as usual. Your discount is applied before you pay, and your first order is placed straight away.

Subscriptions are available on selected treatments only. Where a treatment or option can be subscribed to, you will see a Subscribe option on the product; where you do not see one, that item is available as a one-off purchase only.

How often refills arrive

Refills are prepared and charged every three weeks. That is deliberately about a week earlier than you are due to need your next pen, and the extra week is there for a reason: every refill has to be approved by a prescriber before it can be dispensed, and it then travels by cold-chain delivery. Either step can take longer than usual, and the buffer means a delay does not leave you without your treatment.

Your first order is processed as soon as you subscribe, and each refill follows three weeks after the one before it.

Because of that buffer you may find you gradually build up a little medicine in hand. That is expected. If you would rather a refill were delayed, contact us before the next charge is due and we will move it for you.

Your subscription runs for a set number of refills, which you choose at checkout. Once that number has been reached, the subscription ends automatically and you will not be charged again. We will let you know before it ends so you can start a new one if you want to continue.

What you pay

  • Each refill is discounted by a fixed amount compared with buying the same item as a one-off. The exact saving depends on which treatment and option you choose, and is always shown before you pay.
  • You are charged when each refill is prepared, not all at once up front.
  • Payment is taken from the card used to set up the subscription. If that payment fails, we will try again and email you; if it cannot be taken, the refill will not be dispensed.
  • Prices can change. If the price of your treatment changes, we will tell you before it affects a future refill.

Minimum of two orders

Every subscription has a minimum of two orders — your first order and one further refill. A subscription cannot be cancelled before that second order has been placed and paid for. Once it has, you can cancel at any time.

Please make sure you are happy to receive at least two orders before you subscribe. If you are not certain yet, order one at a time instead and subscribe later; the option will still be there.

This minimum is a payment arrangement only. It never obliges you to take a medicine, and it does not override a clinical decision — if your prescriber decides your treatment should stop, your subscription stops with it and you will not be charged for anything that is not dispensed.

Changing, pausing and cancelling

Changing your dose

If your prescriber changes your dose, your existing subscription cannot simply be switched over to the new one. You will need to cancel the current subscription and set up a new one at the new dose. Contact us and we will help you do this so there is no gap in your treatment.

Pausing or skipping a refill

If you need to delay a refill — you are away, or you still have medicine in hand — contact us before the next charge is due and we will move it for you.

Cancelling

Once your second order has been placed and paid for, you can cancel at any time by emailing support@swift-doctor.com. There is no cancellation fee. Cancel before your next refill is charged; once a refill has been charged and dispensed it cannot be cancelled, for the reasons set out below.

Delivery

Subscription orders are sent by tracked delivery, in the same discreet packaging as any other order, and with cold-chain handling where the treatment requires it. Delivery timings and charges are the same as for one-off orders. Please make sure your delivery address is up to date — contact us to change it before a refill is charged.

Returns and refunds

Medicines that have been dispensed to you cannot be returned or refunded, and cannot be re-used or re-sold, for patient safety reasons. This does not affect your legal rights where an item arrives damaged, is incorrect, or is faulty — contact us straight away in that case and we will put it right.

If a refill is charged but not dispensed following clinical review, you will be refunded in full.

Not sure whether a subscription is right for you?

Because of the two-order minimum, a subscription suits you best once your dose has settled. If you are early in treatment or your dose is still being adjusted, it is usually better to order one at a time for now. Speak to a clinician if you are unsure — there is no obligation to subscribe, and it will not affect your treatment either way.

Questions

Will I be charged if my prescriber says I should stop?

No. Every refill is reviewed before it is dispensed. If it is not approved, it is not dispensed and you are not charged.

Can I cancel before my second order?

No. The two-order minimum is part of the subscription, so the earliest you can cancel is once your second order has been placed and paid for. If something has changed clinically, contact us — a prescriber's decision to stop your treatment stops the subscription regardless.

Can I subscribe to more than one treatment?

Yes. Each subscription is managed separately, so cancelling one does not affect the other.

What happens when my subscription reaches its last refill?

It ends automatically and no further payments are taken. You are free to start a new subscription or go back to ordering one at a time.

How do I change the card I pay with?

Email support@swift-doctor.com and we will send you a secure link to update it. Never send card details by email.

Who do I contact about my subscription?

Email support@swift-doctor.com. For anything clinical, book a consultation and speak to a clinician.
