LillyDirect and your Mounjaro treatment
From Tuesday 27th October 2026, SwiftDoctor is partnering with LillyDirect, Eli Lilly's UK dispensing and delivery service, to dispense and deliver Mounjaro (tirzepatide) to our patients. Your medicine will come straight from the manufacturer's own supply chain and our team gets more time to look after you. Only the dispensing and delivery of your Mounjaro is changing; every other part of your care with SwiftDoctor stays exactly the same. This page explains what LillyDirect is, what it means for you, and how you can opt out at any time.
The two things we want you to know:
1. Eli Lilly funds the LillyDirect dispensing and delivery service. Lilly, the manufacturer of Mounjaro, pays for the LillyDirect service that dispenses and delivers your medicine. Lilly has no role in your consultation, your prescribing decision, or any other part of your clinical care, which remain entirely with SwiftDoctor's clinicians.
2. You can opt out of LillyDirect at any time, and it will not affect your access to treatment. If you would prefer your Mounjaro to be dispensed and delivered by SwiftDoctor's own pharmacy instead, just tell us. Your prescription, your treatment plan and your ongoing care will continue without interruption.
What is LillyDirect?
LillyDirect is a service run by Eli Lilly, the company that makes Mounjaro. In the UK it launched in June 2026 as a dispensing and delivery service only. It does not carry out consultations, make prescribing decisions or provide clinical advice. Under UK law, a manufacturer cannot sell prescription-only medicines directly to patients, so LillyDirect only handles a prescription once it has been issued by a regulated healthcare provider such as SwiftDoctor.
When a SwiftDoctor clinician prescribes Mounjaro for you, your private prescription is sent electronically to a LillyDirect partner pharmacy, which dispenses the medicine and delivers it to your home in discreet, temperature-controlled packaging with tracking. Because the medicine comes straight from Lilly's own supply chain, you can be confident that what arrives is genuine Mounjaro that has been stored and handled correctly throughout.
What this means for you
- Nothing changes clinically. SwiftDoctor's clinicians still assess you, make every prescribing decision and look after your follow-up. You order and pay with SwiftDoctor as usual.
- Genuine medicine, direct from Lilly. Your Mounjaro is dispensed by a UK-registered LillyDirect partner pharmacy and delivered in discreet, temperature-controlled packaging with full tracking.
- More time for you. With dispensing and packing handled by LillyDirect, our pharmacists and clinicians can spend more of their time on your check-ins, your questions and your progress.
- Subscription and bundle pricing changes from 9am on Tuesday 27th October. You can see the new prices on our Mounjaro subscription and bundle prices page; until 9am on the 27th, the prices on the Mounjaro product page continue to apply.
What is changing, and what is not
We are partnering with LillyDirect for dispensing and delivery only. No other aspect of your SwiftDoctor service will change.
| Part of your care | Who provides it | Changing? |
|---|---|---|
| Online consultation and medical assessment | SwiftDoctor clinicians | No |
| Prescribing decision and prescription | SwiftDoctor prescribers | No |
| Dose changes, reviews and follow-up | SwiftDoctor clinicians | No |
| Patient support by phone and email | SwiftDoctor patient support team | No |
| Ordering, payment and your account | SwiftDoctor website | No |
| Side-effect advice and clinical queries | SwiftDoctor clinicians and pharmacists | No |
| Complaints | SwiftDoctor (see our Complaints page) | No |
| Dispensing and delivery of Mounjaro | LillyDirect partner pharmacy (all subscription and bundle orders; single-pen orders unless you opt out) | Yes |
SwiftDoctor remains your healthcare provider throughout. Our Medical Director, Dr Saira Bano, and our Superintendent Pharmacist, Nasir Ali, remain responsible for your clinical care, and our pharmacy team is still available to answer any questions about your medicine.
How it works, step by step
- You complete a SwiftDoctor consultation as normal, and a SwiftDoctor clinician reviews it.
- If Mounjaro is prescribed for you, we will tell you at that point that your medicine will be dispensed and delivered through LillyDirect, that Eli Lilly funds the LillyDirect dispensing and delivery service, and that you can opt out at any time.
- Your prescription is sent securely to a LillyDirect partner pharmacy, which is a UK-registered pharmacy regulated by the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Your Mounjaro is delivered to your home by Royal Mail or DPD in discreet, temperature-controlled packaging, with tracking so you know when to expect it. If your order comes by DPD you will need a PIN to receive it: DPD sends the PIN by text or email, and the driver will ask for it before handing over your parcel.
- Your care continues with SwiftDoctor. Dose increases, check-ins and any questions all come back to our team, exactly as before.
Opting out of LillyDirect
You do not have to use LillyDirect. You can opt out at any time, before your first order or at any point during your treatment, and it will not affect your access to Mounjaro or any other part of your care. If you opt out, your prescription will be dispensed and delivered by SwiftDoctor's own GPhC-registered pharmacy in Wakefield instead, at our standard single-pen price.
Subscriptions and bundle orders. From Tuesday 27th October 2026, all subscription and multi-pen bundle orders are dispensed and delivered by LillyDirect, and our pricing for these changes from 9am on the same day. Subscription and bundle pricing applies only to orders supplied through LillyDirect; the prices that apply from 9am on 27th October are listed on our Mounjaro subscription and bundle prices page. If you opt out, you can continue your treatment with single-pen orders from our own pharmacy at the standard single-pen price. Opting out never affects whether you can be prescribed or receive Mounjaro.
Already on a subscription? From Tuesday 27th October your dispensing and delivery will move to LillyDirect, but your existing subscription price will stay as it is. If you would like to move to the new pricing, contact our patient support team and we will cancel your current subscription so you can start a new one.
To opt out, or to opt back in later, contact our patient support team:
- Email: support@swift-doctor.com with "LillyDirect opt out" in the subject line
- Phone: 01924 654100, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
We will confirm the change by email. Any order already dispatched will be delivered as planned; the change applies from your next order.
Delivery and your PIN
LillyDirect orders are delivered by Royal Mail or DPD, in discreet, temperature-controlled packaging with tracking. Which courier is used depends on your order and location; your dispatch notification will tell you.
DPD deliveries require a PIN. If your order is sent by DPD, DPD will send a PIN to the mobile number or email address on your order. The driver will ask you for it before handing over your parcel, so please have it ready. Because Mounjaro must be kept cold and is a prescription-only medicine, a DPD parcel cannot be left in a safe place or with a neighbour, and the PIN cannot be shared with the driver in advance. DPD's "leave in a safe place" option is not available for these parcels; if you will not be in, you can choose another delivery day through the DPD app or the link in your tracking message.
Royal Mail deliveries do not need a PIN, and Royal Mail will still offer you a safe place option if you are not in.
If you miss a delivery, the courier will let you know how to rearrange it. If you have any problem with a delivery, contact SwiftDoctor patient support rather than the courier or LillyDirect, and we will sort it out for you.
Your information
To dispense and deliver your medicine, the LillyDirect partner pharmacy needs the details that appear on your prescription: your name, date of birth, delivery address, contact details and the medicine and dose prescribed. This is the same information any dispensing pharmacy needs to fulfil a prescription. Your consultation answers and clinical notes stay with SwiftDoctor and are not shared with Eli Lilly. Full details of how your information is used and protected are in our Privacy Policy.
Please keep your details up to date. The LillyDirect pharmacy needs your date of birth to dispense your prescription, DPD needs a current mobile number to send your PIN, and SwiftDoctor needs your GP surgery details for your clinical record. If any of these are missing or out of date, your order may be delayed. To check and update them, log in to your patient dashboard and open My Health Record.
Questions about your medicine
Whether your Mounjaro is dispensed through LillyDirect or by our own pharmacy, SwiftDoctor is your first point of contact for anything to do with your treatment. If you have questions about how to take your medicine, side effects, dose changes or a delivery, contact us at support@swift-doctor.com or on 01924 654100.
If you are unwell and need urgent help, call 999 in an emergency or 111 for urgent medical advice. Suspected side effects can also be reported to the MHRA through the Yellow Card scheme.
Frequently asked questions
Will I pay more, or less, because of LillyDirect?
Your SwiftDoctor price is set by us and shown at checkout. Subscription and bundle pricing changes from 9am on Tuesday 27th October 2026 and applies only to orders supplied through LillyDirect. Single-pen orders cost the same whether they are dispensed by LillyDirect or by our own pharmacy, so if you opt out you would order single pens at the standard single-pen price. Your access to treatment is the same either way.
I already have a subscription. Will my price change?
No. Your existing subscription keeps its current price. If you would like to move to the new pricing, contact our patient support team on 01924 654100 or at support@swift-doctor.com; we will cancel your current subscription so you can start a new one from 27th October onwards.
When does this start?
Tuesday 27th October 2026. Orders placed from that date are dispensed and delivered through LillyDirect unless you have opted out, and the new subscription and bundle pricing goes live at 9am that day.
Does Lilly see my consultation?
No. Your consultation and clinical records stay with SwiftDoctor. Lilly has no role in, and no access to, your clinical assessment or prescribing decision.
Who is responsible for my care?
SwiftDoctor. Our clinicians make every prescribing decision and remain responsible for your treatment throughout. LillyDirect's partner pharmacy is responsible only for dispensing and delivering the medicine once it has been prescribed.
Does this affect any other medicines I get from SwiftDoctor?
No. LillyDirect only handles Mounjaro. Any other treatment you receive from SwiftDoctor is dispensed and delivered by our own pharmacy as usual.
What if I don't have my DPD PIN when the driver arrives?
Check your texts and emails from DPD, including junk folders. If you still cannot find it, the driver will not be able to leave the parcel; DPD will attempt delivery again and you can contact our patient support team on 01924 654100 for help. Royal Mail deliveries do not use a PIN and can be left in a safe place.
Can I change my mind later?
Yes. You can opt out of LillyDirect, or opt back in, at any time by contacting our patient support team. Your treatment continues either way.
